A little bit more info

Gwinear is a family run campsite which is located in beautiful tranquil spot, close to three of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall. Gwinear is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the Cornish surroundings. Our camping field has spacious pitches all with electrical and water points close to the toilet and shower facilities. Gwinear has two well stocked fishing lakes whichn are open all year round. Our specimen lake was established in 1988 and over the years has matured into one of the best day ticket fishing venues in Cornwall. Our pleasure coarse fishing lake was redesigned in 2015, turning it back into one lake. The pleasure lake has some extra large pegs and a hard level path, which makes it great for easy access and enjoyable fishing.

Gwinear is located two miles from Newquay, close to the villages of Cubert and Crantock which have several pubs, tea rooms, Cafes and village shops. Close by are Hollywell Bay, Polly Joke and Crantock beaches. They have soft sand, dunes, rock pools, rivers and excellent surf being the next bay along the coast from Fistral beach but without the crowds. Activities include Fishing, Surfing, Coastal Cliff walking, Rock Pools, Historic Churches, Caves and Blow Holes, Coasteering, Mountain Biking, Fresh Crab lunches, Cream Teas, Art Galleries, Village Pubs, Fun Parks, local events and more. Gwinear offers a great base for a holiday with easy access to all the Cornish attractions.

Sustainability

At Gwinear, we are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. By harnessing the power of solar energy and utilising borehole water, we are significantly reducing our carbon footprint and conserving vital resources. Our solar panels provide clean, renewable energy, while our borehole water system ensures a reliable and sustainable water supply. Together, these initiatives not only help us operate more efficiently but also contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for our community and the planet.

Accessibility.

At Gwinear Camping and Fishing we are dedicated to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our guests. Our campsite has easy access pitches and our facilities house a disabled toilet and showers. There are level paths around the site including the fishing lakes to help ensure that everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature without barriers. Our pleasure lake has two extra large fishing platforms, with easy access. We believe that accessibility is a fundamental right, and we continuously strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and comfortable.
